Please help im scared!?

today and tomorrow the weather is forecast-ed to be thunderstorms and they also said they will be severe and idk if they were talking about where i live but they said something about possible tornadoes. I also heard that frequent lightning will be in these storms. I AM ABSOLUTELY PETRIFIED OF LIGHTNING AND THUNDER! i stayed home from school today because of death in the family and also because of the storms that were forecasted. Yesterday we got a storm. It was pouring hard and i was thundering but not that loud and they said that was a strong storm.I wasn't all that scared because i was talking to my mom and she kinda distracted me from the storm. All my family is supposed to go to my aunts house because its my uncle that died and the family really needs to comfort her during this time but im scared that the storm will come up while were there. IDK WHAT TO DO SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE! IF YOU WATCHED THE NEWS DID THEY SAY TORNADOES WILL BE HAPPENING IN NEW JERSEY? I only 13 and i feel like storms are taking over my entire life!
