Am i sussposed to wear this for ballet?

I started ballet like a week ago and my teacher wants me to wear pointe ballet slippers and a tutu, with basically me wearing the same stuff as all the girls, which is weird since im a guy. i tried everything on in this dance supply store and i feels so girly and i aint girly. im pretty sure im not susspose to wear this stuff how do i convince the teacher to let me wear what im sussposed to wear
