Back then, Chauncey didn't understand how to run a team and didn't improve as fast as fans would've liked. As for Posey, he didn't have the niche for being a great defender when he was in Denver. He just started in the league coming from Xavier where he had to do everything. As for McDyess, he never worked out as a player you could build a team around. Either way it doesn't matter now. Denver's core group is young and only getting better with every game because of Billups's presence. If the Lakers don't come out with energy and effort, they will lose to the Nuggets.
