My period has lasted 12 weeks straight?

I'm 17 and I'm not ually active. I was put on birth control (the lowest dosage "Yaz") the first of October. At the same time, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (small cysts & tumors on my ovaries). I started my period the last week of October on Yaz and it hasn't stopped. I went back to the doctor after a solid month of having my period and I was prescribed the second highest dosage of BC Yasmin/Ocella. I have been on the Yasmin for a month and a half and my bleeding hasn't stopped. My doctor is really unclear about what is wrong with me. She hasn't given me any other options and is acting kind of shady about what is going on. I can tolerate the period but it's the pain ociated with it that is giving me a hard time. I'm 17 and trying to live my life, not let it be control by all this. Any advice on how to get through to my doctor or options to get my period to stop?
